Description
In Australia, around 250,000 people are currently diagnosed with epilepsy – that's over 1 per cent of the population so chances are most people know someone with the condition. Epilepsy is more common than Parkinson's, cerebral palsy, MS and muscular dystrophy combined, but it is still widely misunderstood.
As well as raising awareness about epilepsy in Australia, this course gives guidance on the different types of seizures, how they are diagnosed, and how to manage seizures. The course provides essential first aid guidance on how to support a person having a seizure caused by epilepsy.
The course also covers risk management and care planning, along with links to further guidance.
