This course equips support workers with essential knowledge to safely assist participants requiring complex wound care under NDIS Module 1. Learners will gain clarity on their role, boundaries, and responsibilities while ensuring participant dignity, choice, and safety. Through practical scenarios and interactive activities, the course highlights how to prepare effectively, implement authorised support, and escalate concerns promptly. It reinforces infection prevention, accurate reporting, and participant‑centred practice as critical safeguards. By completion, workers will be empowered with the confidence to support participants while adhering to policy, training, and supervision requirements. Learner will achieve these objectives by the end of this course:

• Explain the scope, responsibilities, and limits of the support‑worker role in complex wound care.

• Recognise wound types, healing stages, and risk factors, and report changes objectively without diagnosis.

• Apply participant‑centred practices by preparing, implementing, and reviewing wound support in line with the current plan and organisational policy.
